lil replica - Redux & Respair
INK005 [LP]
Debut album by eperimentla duo lil replica is an unconventionally structured mosaic of sonic textures made of ethereal vocals, dislocated micro-chopped piano loops, blips and glitches layered onto each other, making for a disrupted yet emotional listening experience. ‘lil replica’ draws on a broad sonic palette of IDM, electronica and glitch with elements of noise and sound collage, crafting something raw and intimate.
Presenting ten remarkable tracks that sit balanced at the intersection of pop and experimental sound, drawing as much on film editing, music concrete and field recording as much as from jazz, choral chants and mainstream beats. In a fragment from their manifesto, the duo states: ”it isn't ugly or unwanted; here, in this heroic moment, it is tender and sympathetic.”

Karen Juhl - Mother Tongue
INK 004 [LP + Art Book]
Mother Tongue is a debut album by Danish composer and songwriter Karen Juhl.
The album is a sonic hybrid of R'n'B, rap, experimental composition, and folklore. Juhl's lyrics connect childhood scenes with the psychiatric ward and internet rooms, creating a fragmented yet meditative reflection on fragility in a hyper-globalized world. Juhl's writing process for the album was influenced by a personal life crisis and a desire to let lyrics inform the sonics. ”I brought diary notes and prose poems with me into the studio and worked on vocals in a stream of consciousness kind of way.” Karen Juhl
Mother Tongue ranges in temperament and dynamics, featuring everything from minimalist passages to noisy synth sequences. It was made mostly on a computer, using YouTube samples, MIDI instruments, and vocals. The feeling of isolation sounds throughout the album, with the synth, drum tracks, samples, and vocals often placed far apart and reverberating differently. The result is a transformative sound that allows for contradictions coexisting as they do in real life. It was produced together with collaborator Johan Feierskov.
The artbook, created in collaboration with graphic designer Paw Poulsen, combines the album's lyrics with digital collages. The printed matter stitches together a new narrative on its own terms, transferring the album's dynamic range to the graphics. Juhl aims to create a space outside the digital realm, exploring the intertwining of personal and shared narratives.

Nino Davadze - Geometry of Soviet Women
INK003 [Single]
'Geometry of Soviet Women' is a debut release by Georgian multidisciplinary sound artist and composer Nino Davadze.
The symbiosis of knife-edged experimental electronics, synthesised vocals and field recordings are presented in two powerful tracks that aim to encapsulate contemporary Georgian society's resilience and vulnerability from the eco-feminist perspective.
The rawness of field recordings with heavily distorted drums, ambient soundscapes, and sinister vocals ties the nostalgic reflections happening in urban spaces in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. Experimental musician and multimedia artist Nino Davadze aims to capture the intricate utopian vision, and fragile voice of anger and creates a letter from the beloved city with a tangible memory of its people. She creates the language of resistance, manifested by her field recordings, profound lyrics and harsh, deconstructed beats.
Nino Davadze is an experimental musician and multimedia artist from Tbilisi, Georgia. She draws inspiration from classical music training and choral singing in an Orthodox church in the Georgian countryside. Nino’s formative years in Sheffield, UK, had sparked the idea of combining two parallel universes into her compositions - avant-garde electronic sound and storytelling using the spoken word and field recordings. Nino’s recent live performances brought her to share the stage with the likes of Mark Fell, Sote and Rian Treanor, as well as collaborations with Mutant Radio, New Drama Festival, and CES Records, the platforms that are at the forefront of Georgian contemporary art.

Yraki - Argento
INK002 [Vinyl EP]
Following an incredibly well-received rework for our inaugural release, not to mention finding support from Hyperdub stalwart Loraine James, the hugely immersive and kaleidoscopic Argento EP serves as Yraki's debut record proper.
‘Argento’ is a complex exercise in modern club music aesthetics and a contemporary hybrid of experimental sound design. As described by the artist himself: ‘I would like to produce music that is ‘genre-fluid’, and balance between many styles that influenced me as an artist. Whether it’s a contemporary take on instrumental grime, deconstructed techno, and bass, or the immersive world of experimental sound design.’
About the artist:
Yraki is the new avant-garde creation born of London-based artist Mariano Sibilia. Its existence is the manifestation of the inner workings of Sibilia’s mind interacting with the sensations of the outer world propelled into form via his extraordinary synaesthesia phenomenon. As an external expression, from an electronic world detached from the rules and strictures of human life, Yraki’s existence is a conduit for pure creativity.
Tracklist:
A1 Yraki - Daisy
A2 Yraki - Zenith
A3 Yraki - Zenith (VAMPI Remix)
B1 Yraki - Flex
B2 Yraki - Marble

Jeph Vanger - Cyclothymia
INK001 [Vinyl EP]
Jeph Vanger - Cyclothymia
Vinyl: December 2021
Digital: https://inklingroom.bandcamp.com/
About:
inklingroom records present the debut EP of Jeph Vanger - Athens/London based award-winning sound designer, artist and electronic composer, who works in the fields of contemporary dance, theatre, film and art installations.
The original 5-track EP ( plus rework by Yraki), brings temperament, no-style attachment, but a mix but forward-thinking controlled distortions geared towards intrusive post-dubstep, avant-garde bass sounds, combined by subtle electronics, ambient, drone and AI experiments. It’s a complex exercise in electroacoustic composition and a direct vision of a dystopian version of the dancefloor which itself sculpts into the artist's personal statement: “I would like to think of myself as a dance performer… interpreting different roles for each show… I intended to convey it with my worlds of sounds” Jeph Vanger.
Tracklist:
A1 Jeph Vanger - Fatale
A2 Jeph Vanger - Give Up
