Our Mission: inklingroom champions new contemporary dance and music and supports artists in creating boundary pushing, innovative work. Our events series, radio residencies, and record label aims to give the platform to underrepresented artists in the industry, to create immersive and expansive experiences. Therefore we strongly encourage artists of all backgrounds but especially those of low income, gender and ethnic minorities.

More info about the project:

inklingroom - Creative Choreography and Performance Making Workshops aims to help marginalised dance communities from the East London area to access free and safe space to create. This project is for young dance artists to explore artistic ideas individually and collectively during the workshop led by London based choreographer and movement director Keity Pook.

This project is funded by Westfield Bank - Future London Small grant.

Criteria:

inklingroom values a diverse and inclusive world, which we interpret as all people having fair access to the tools and resources they need to fulfil creative and community endeavours. We acknowledge structural inequities that have excluded individuals and communities from opportunity based on race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, class, age, language, culture and strive to counter those inequities in our work. Therefore, we would like to welcome proposals especially from young, emerging dance artists representing at least one of the aforementioned and are based in East London.
